(AP) Florida’s health portal that offers medical advice will stop offering such advice in July, officials said Tuesday.
Orlando Health System will stop posting information about how to get health care services, including health insurance and medication, on its website and will stop selling those services in July.
Officials say it will be up to individuals and companies to use its information.
In a statement, the Florida Department of Health said the changes were needed to make the portal more efficient.
The Florida Department Of Health says that in July the Florida Health Portal will stop publishing medical information on its web site, which includes information on health care providers and other services that can be purchased through the portal.
The portal is the state’s primary source of health care information.
