The New Orleans Saints are not expected to get the first mask back from the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported.
San Francisco’s request for a mask with a mask-like design was denied by the NFL on Friday, and the league said the San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders are expected to have their requests for the mask approved.
The Saints have yet to publicly respond to the mask’s return.
In the past, the team has asked the NFL to keep the mask in the locker room, which has been the case for years.
San Diego and Oakland have also asked for mask requests to be kept secret.
The Saints, however, are not the only team to ask for the league to keep mask requests from being made public.
The Los Angeles Chargers have also requested mask requests be kept from being released.
The NFL is expected to announce the final mask request on Monday.
