News24.com | April 15, 2019 09:00:56The health of Northwell health is being seriously tested on the new digital platform called NorthwellHealth.
The online platform allows patients to interact with the doctors and staff of the Northern Queensland Health Authority, access medical records, and manage their own health care.
Dr Lisa Aydelotte, who has been part of the project for several years, said Northwell was very happy with how the platform had evolved over the last six months.
“The health system is so different and the data that we have is so much more accurate now than ever before,” she said.
“We’ve got to be very careful because it is not just the data we have but the data around us as well.”
Dr Aydill said that for the first time in a long time, she had a more accurate and complete picture of her patients.
“Now we can see more than 10 per cent of what’s going on with our patients,” she told News24 in an interview.
“They are seeing the doctors who they want to see, and they are being shown the information that they want and are getting.”
What we have done is taken the information, analysed it, and put it together with the patients to make it a much more complete picture.
“This allows us to be more responsive to the needs of the patients and be more proactive and be able to get more accurate information.”
Dr Annette Smith, who works in the Department of Medicine at Northwell, said the platform could have a big impact on the patients.
Dr Smith said that the platform was a “really good thing” and a way to improve patient care.
“There’s so many things that are going on in the system now that we can’t see what’s happening,” she explained.
“That’s not good enough for us.”
And the platform gives us that capability and also the ability to actually take on the workload that we don’t have on the front line.”‘
It’s a really good thing’Dr Anette Smith said the platforms new digital tools provided information that was not available online.”
It’s really exciting that the system has taken on a digital dimension, and we are seeing more and more data that’s coming online,” she added.”
A lot of what we do now is based on paper because we don.
We can’t get the real-time data we need to make decisions about our patients.
“And we are now able to see more data on how our patients are being treated.”
Dr Smith is currently in the process of transitioning to the new platform, which will see the information from her patients in the form of graphs, charts and graphs.
“I’ve seen some really exciting things, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what comes next,” she laughed.
“All of this information, it’s a very good thing.”
The project is being run by the Northern Health Authority and Northwell Hospital.
